Store and Its Happenings

November 2012-  This will be brief as I am really trying to launch this website, but I am so busy store and event wise, that I am crossed eyed when I finally seat down!  Lots happening on the Bricks, as our store is transforming into a Winter Wonderland- Southern Style!  Also, big week as Plantation Wildlife Arts Festival is in a few days.  I have lots to do there!  Boxes of cat tails, orange reindeer moss, magnolia garland will be arriving soon...Rebecca Wood, of R.Wood Studio will be bringing, the store one of a kind plates and platters for the festivities... Did I mention 100 Paper Whites that I need to plant... Yikes, Nan

September 2012- Wow, time flies when you are having fun or just busy or BOTH, which seems to be the mode I'm in.  Right now- Event Wise, the store has a lot on tap literally "in store" and we have a lot going on out of the store... This Friday at Firefly we welcome Beth Robinson and her darling Fall Collection of Clothing made here in South GA.  Next week we are having a trunk show with Kayce Hughes/Pears+Bears for three days.  We are also doing our FIRST Shotgun Supper Club on the 18th, which is exciting and nerve racking all at the same time.  I am also busy planning Plantation Wildlife Arts Festival's Bird Dog Bash to be held in November, not too mention several Spring Weddings in 2013! Whew, I think I will pause there, before I start having a panic attack. If you are interested in what is happening, in this neck of the woods then "LIKE" us on FB, or better yet sign up for our newsletter and we will keep you pleasantly informed. Happy Fall, Nan

May 2012-

We are constantly moving and changing things around at Firefly.  I love having Events in the Store, throughout the year.  This past Christmas, we had cute Hugh Acheson signing his fabulous cookbook, A New Turn in the South.  I think we sold 200 cookbooks, all said and done, and I look forward to having him back.  In February 2012, Firefly hosted it's First Lunch and Learn with Amy Flurry and her book, Recipe for Press.  This was exciting in, that I had never really had someone give a "talk", and what a pep talk it was!  She also met with people individually afterwards with some one on one time.  I think Amy will be back too for another workshop.  Read more about Amy and her book here- www.recipeforpress.com .  Of course, we sell it  and would love to ship one to you.  Rebecca Wood, of R.Wood Studio, comes to Firefly about twice a year.  She spoils me and I love it.  We sell her pottery like Hot Cakes, and when she comes for her visits she brings one of a kinds made, especially for us.  I will be adding some select pieces to this site soon too.  So, check this often as well as our blog for upcoming events.
